ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic (use granules)
- 1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch dressing mix
- 1 - 1 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 (16 ounce) bag pretzels (use small clover shaped or sticks, the big ones break when you stir)
directions
- Mix everything except pretzels in a large bowl(I use a big plastic salad bowl).
- Just a pinch of cayenne for the little ones.
- Pour pretzels in on top of the sauce. Stir until well coated. I just toss it like a salad.
- Make sure all of the goodies are off of the bottom of the bowl and on the pretzels.
- You can eat them right away, but they are less messy if you let them sit a bit while the pretzels absorb the oil.
- Store in an airtight container.
- Enjoy!

Per a discussion on the community board, I received this recipe for the 4H Cloverbuds. The kids loved making them. Later, I made a batch for the family, and Eldest Daughter took some to the break room at work. They were a hit there too. These get rave reviews wherever I serve them. Note: little kids get 1/4 tsp of cayenne in their batch; grownups get the full 1 1/2 tsp.

These are awesome. I put my pretzels in a gallon size ziplock bag. I mix all my spices and oil and just pour them over my pretzels and let them soak, I flip the over about every half hour or so to get everything coated real good. So easy and I don't have to dirty up a bowl. They are wonderful my 10 year old cant get enough of them.

I am a wife of 29 years, mother of 3, mother in law of 2, granny of 2 and math teacher to about 100!
My kids are 23, 20 and 9 (I hear you laughing!). I was 41 when I had the youngest -- yes that makes me 50.
I love teaching (most days!) I can bribe a room full of high school math students with a pan of brownies -- even the old stand by rice crispie treats will do it!
My husband and youngest DD moved back to Arkansas last summer. We both grew up here, it's DD's first time to live here. We have lived in OK, TX, AR, FL, TX, OK and back to AR over the last 29 years. If we could find a place to live in HIS hometown, we'd never move again! The other kids are in Oklahoma--close enough that we can be there tonight, but far enough that I can't be there as much as I'd like!
