  • In a medium bowl, combine tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno, lemon juice, lime juice and salt.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes at room temperature to blend flavors. Stir in cilantro. Taste salsa and adjust amount of jalapeno pepper and salt as desired.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

  1. I've made the salsa a few times and just love the results. However, just wondering how I can avoid all the liquid from being generated when the salsa is refrigerated for a couple days. It was suggested by a friend to add the salt only few minutes before serving if preparing for many guests. In theory will this work to prevent all the liquid from extracting from the tomatoes?

  1. I wrote my review below but forgot to rate the recipe. You can make this very healthy salsa every week as a special condiment to add to any main dish. I even tried it last night on a late night quick meal on basmati rice with butter and salsa.
