Dairy Free, Soy Free Avocado Chocolate Pudding

"I wanted to make the usual avocado chocolate pudding casein, soy AND coconut free, so I came up with this. Made it with brown rice syrup but will post it with agave syrup. You can also use honey, I suppose. The avocado was a large one. I'm not fond of sweets, but this stuff was amazing!"

  1. 5 stars. This is perfect health food. Decadent and creamy with lots of choco flavour! Oh I use raw local honey though not agave syrup which I think ups the health content. DD1 (5 years old) enjoyed with sliced banana on top. DD2 (16 months) ate it also. I used almond hazelnut butter (my favourite right now) by Nut's To You Nut Butter, organic cocoa, plus the rest of the ingredients. I want to try this on DH without telling him what's in it! Made for FEBRUARY'S SUN and SPICE EVENT

  2. Mia, this really is a great, healthy, decadent pudding dessert! YUM! I made this as written except for using a chocolate nut butter in place of the plain one. To compensate the sugar in that, I left out the sweetener. First I thought I had added way too much water for my avocado as it was thin like soup, but a minute after stirring it again somehow it had miraculously transformed itself into this thick, luscious dessert pudding. Perfect!<br/>THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this, Ill definitely make it again and again!

  3. I made this as directed and it was very watery - I would make it again with a lot less and made it with agave syrup. Thanks! Made for PAC Spring '11

  4. Creamy and chocolaty. What more could you ask? I used peanut butter only because I didn't have any almond butter. Oh! And I thought 1/2 cup of water sounded like a lot, so I started with 2 tablespoons. That seemed just right, so I didn't add any more. Thanks for the treat!
