"My sister gave this to me when I wanted something to top a pumpkin dessert. This is fabulous! Can be used for almost any dessert. I have even warmed it and crumbled it over ice cream."

  1. Halving the recipe makes the right amount for a dozen muffins. Don't melt the butter if you are using it on muffins-it will sink in too much. A little too rich, in my opinion, to be a muffin topping. Awfully good on top of apples as apple crisp, though, but don't melt the butter for that, either. Three stars because of the melted butter thing.

  2. I have a kid who won't eat muffins if they don't have a glaze or crumb topping. I wanted something with oatmeal to throw a little extra fiber in. This was fast and easy. It didn't look like the crumb toppings I've used because of the butter being melted but that's ok. It also had a great nutty flavor. We have a nut allergy to it's nice to have that flavor. Thanks, I'll be using this again.
