I live in beautiful neighborhood, deep in sunny San diego. Being surrounded by cultures unfamiliar to me, Only increases my desires to cook and prepare more creative, unique dishes for my family. I have twin boys, who have recently turned 3. If you are acquainted with San diego you could have guessed my husband is in the Navy. With many Navy and Marine bases surrounding us. I feel more connected to the English cooking, and culture. My favorite cookbooks are ALL from Nigella Lawson. (if anyone has any more recommendations I plead with you to let me know!) I also, naturally, enjoy to scour through my grandmother's old cookbooks. The dishes I ate as a child amongst old-time meals set from scratch. With my gastronomical tastes ever so changing, it's hard to keep my fork down. My job is only to raise my twin boys, keep them fed...and if you're a mother yourself you know that is plenty to keep you busy. For fun? I cook. My children are aware that if mommy is in the kitchen, especially far too long, there are goodies awaiting!
